Case story --- Sinopec B Block 

Overview

In 2015, there were only 2 wells running, with 1.7t average daily produced fluid, 0.3t average daily produced, and the cumulative oil output is 8.6 x 104t, recovery degree is 1.9%, average water content is 90%.


Understanding in development

Production Conditions

Since the beginning of the conventional production in September, 1999, the Taobao oilfield has been developed with three kinds of methods: conventional cold production, steam stimulation, cold oil production with sand. The following points are obtained based the analysis of production,

1. Low liquid and oil production of oil wells. At the initial stage of production, the single-well fluid production capacity is 4.72, and the oil production capacity is 1.99 tons. The single-well fluid production capacity decreased to 2.96 tons, and the oil production capacity  decreased to 0.19 tons before shut-in;

2. Low running rate and severe water flooded.

3. Serious sand production.

4. Low production rate  and cumulative oil output of single well.

 

Problems

There is bottom water in the bottom of target reservoir in Baicheng 87, and bottom water channeling during production and later channeling in oil-bearing layers caused the well water flooded, and serious sand production. Therefore, water and sand control are the most important problems to be solved.

Baicheng 87 block development target layer has bottom water, and bottom water channeling and later in the process of production of the reservoir into inside, which causes the well water flooded, and the serious sand production. At present it is difficult to use, therefore, water control and sand control are the important issues in the Baicheng 87 block .

In response to the problems in 87 block , Deshi Group uses its existing oil recovery technologycombines resources, and adopts the appropriate stimulation technology to resume production of the shutdown wells in the block.
